Transforming Age Spotlight – David Knight

As Parkshore Juanita Bay moves closer to completion, we thought this would be a good time to meet members of the team who are bringing the community to life.

Meet David Knight, Senior Vice President of Strategy & Partnerships with Transforming Age and President of GSI (A Transforming Age company)

Why should someone consider a community like Parkshore Juanita Bay?

Parkshore Juanita Bay is perfect for the active couple wanting to remain engaged in the community, from a network of likeminded friends to shared group activities. Residents also receive the security of a continuing care contract and the Transforming Age network that supports your overall aging journey.

What makes Parkshore Juanita Bay so unique?

Location, location, location. Juanita Beach Park is one of, if not, the most beautiful parks on Lake Washington. With the Pier, trails, and flat topography, it is a walker’s paradise. The village infrastructure offers residents easy access to restaurants, coffee shops, banking, beauty, and fitness activities. Evergreen Health is also just two miles away, making Parkshore Juanita Bay a Class A location.

Tell us a little bit about your background in relation to Parkshore Juanita Bay?

It has been rewarding to be a part of this journey from the beginning. I’ve had the pleasure to work with the German Retirement Home Board, leading their strategic planning, as they tried to determine the path forward. Ultimately, this led to an affiliation with Transforming Age and I’ve been actively involved in the new development since then.

What is your long-term vision for the community?

A superior living experience that benefits residents, the neighborhood, and the environment for generations to come.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Being in nature; you are likely to find me walking the pier and trails of Juanita Beach.
